I wonder where they'll take their honeymoon . . . .

My Squirrel Wedding Cake Topper
Alrighty all! As promised, I have pics of my finished squirrel wedding cake topper! The gal who ordered this wanted the squirrels to be free standing (meaning, no base). I'm really pleased with how they turned out!
They both are about 4 1/2 inches tall and have tails made from a feather boa.
Mr. Squirrel, looking quite dapper in his bowtie!
And his beautiful bride! (she's not a bridzilla, thank god - who could stand a squirrely bridzilla?)

The Raggy Rat
I thought that it would be nice to showcase one of my favorite plush creators, and one of my inspirations - The Raggy Rat. I found her quite by accident. I had uploaded some pics of my plush rats to flickr and did a search to see if they would come up. Mine were there, but so were these fabulous critters:

Are these not the cutest little ratties you've ever seen? Her talent astounds me. Seriously. I spent an hour drooling over her flickr account. Well, probably longer. To say I love her work is an understatement.
I wish she had one in her Etsy shop - I would totally buy it!
And this badger? I swoon everytime I see him!

Please, check out her flickr page!
And her Etsy shop!
Show some love on her blog!
Perhaps I wax poetic, but I hope to be as skilled as she is one day.

I mean, look at this fish! Holy crap!

Fun with Fur
Going through boxes in my basement, I found a very large stash of fur. Meaning pelts, fox, coyote, raccoon, and bobcat faces, tails, and scraps. What to do with all of this fur . . . .
Hey! Why not use it in my plushies?! I mean, I use FAUX fur, so why not use the real thing? Well, that's just what I did. I have 2 plushies right now using tails (coyote and raccoon), and I'm working on a custom order of a ferret. I have 2 ferrets that I'm making - one completely out of raccoon fur, and one out of opposum fur and faux fur (I don't have pics of these yet, but they will be posted in my next update). Here are my 2 finished critters:
That's it for now! My next post will have the ferrets!
