Project 365 - I MADE A SKIRT!!!

I sure did! In about 20 minutes today!

I still need to hem it and iron the seams, but I think it turned out good! Especially since it's the first article of clothing I've ever sewn!

I made it from a vintage fabric my Grandmother gave me.

Close up of the fabric.
I'm quite pleased with myself!

Be afraid . . .be very afraid . . . .

Why should you be afraid? Well, Joann's had Simplicity patterns on sale. 5 for $5. Now, I didn't go overboard - I only got 5 patterns. But the scary thing is that the patterns are for clothes!!!!!

That's right. I'm going to try my hand at sewing clothes.

Skirts mainly.

And costumes.

I'm a little intimidated, as I've never sewn clothing before. Like ever. Though I'm terribly excited to give it a go! And to buy more fabric.

FABRIC!!!!!! A girl can never have enough . . . .
