Yep. I rule the house. Snuggled on the couch. In mommy's blanket. That I stole from her.

Each year Denver has a zombie crawl close to Halloween. What's a zombie crawl you ask?

Only some of the most awesome fun ever!!!

Basically, a bunch of people get dressed up like zombies and wander the streets of Denver.

And you bet your sweet bippy we went!
I was a zombie hunter, but alas, I got bit. And turned.

This handsome devil is my hubby. His costume was a big hit!

And Ayden, of course, was Spiderman.

Some of the costumes were fantastically elaborate!

There were over 7000 people at the crawl. We'll be making this a yearly tradition.

Pumpkin Hollow is a husband and wife team. "Bean" (the misses) makes the cute pumpkins while her hubby, "Rot", makes the more gruesome stuff. The guy pictured above is a collaberation of the two!

Yep! This groundbreaker is by Rot!!!

I love these guys! I highly recommend that you check out Pumpkin Hollow.

You also need to check out their blogs!!! Pumpkinrot and Pumpkin Hollow. Well, and they have a third blog too!

I love Halloween!

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday.

And Jeremy and I decorate for Halloween more than we do for Christmas.

Here's a sneak peak . . . . .

This is Carter. Our life size zombie-thing. At night, with the red prch light and the strobe on, he's ridiculously creepy.

Mummy in a spider web!

I can't wait to get more decorations up . . . . .

Stubby and Ed

We all know I make weird stuff. Stubby and Ed are no exception.

Stubby is a squirrel. So named for his stubby tail and ears. And Ed . . . . . . well, Ed is his parasitic twin.

Who's just a head. On Stubby's back.

Ed looks a bit, um, crazy. Which he is.

They're looking for a new home!!!

Zombie bunny!!!! GAAAAAAA!!! Scott a. a. Bibus is an amazing rogue taxidermist. You have to be weird to appreciate/like this type of work, and luckily, I'm both.

This muskrat is happy. Very, very happy.

Why yes. Yes that is a severed squirrel head.

Wanna see more? Head over to limaceous . . . . . . . if you dare.

Yay! It's 10-10-10!
I don't know why this should be exciting. Except I know that all the preggos want to have their babies on this day :D
I think someone should have a scheduled C-section so that their baby is born at 10:10 on 10-10-10. That would be AWESOME! And silly.

Feature Friday - MAB Jewelry

Today I'm featuring the wonderful Laura of MABJewelry!! Now, Laura is freaking FABULOUS! Seriously - she is. She's a BIG supporter of my blog and my shop - and I love her to pieces!
Aaaaaaaaaand, she makes cool jewelry!!

I mean, look at this wonderful vintage owl necklace!!!! LOOK AT IT!!!!!

Mab has the gift of taking vintage and modern pieces and combining them into gorgeous jewelry. And probably all of her pieces are inspired by movies, television and books. This bracelet was inspired by the dress that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the 1999 Oscars.

Antiqued silver dollar earrings!!! Need I say more???

Stop by Mab's Etsy shop and show her some love!

And check out her funny blog too!!

I don't know why Mom humiliates me so.

You know, I love her, but she always has to take ridiculous pictures. They're humiliating, actually.

See? Making me pose with the boy and an abomination.

Is this really necessary? It isn't even a flattering picture.

She's lucky I love her and the boy. Otherwise I'd totally eat his foot. Though it is pretty stinky . . .

New Artwork :)

Hooray for new artwork!!!
These are 2 concept paintings for my new tattoo. Which, obviously, will be a sparrow and cherry blossoms.

This one is colored pencils and ink.

And this one is watercolors, done in a style similar to a Chinese brush painting.

I actually LOVE them both!!!! I have another idea to try as well, but I'm not sure how I'll choose. Any preferences that you have?

I think we all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. (And if you don't know this, you need to climb out from under the rock you're apparently living under).

We see all the pink, numerous companies donate a percentage of their sales this month to breast cancer research, and there's the Race for the Cure.

Tons of exposure.

But I think what most women fail to realize, is also the most important.

Self breast exams.

They're so easy to do, take less than 5 minutes a month, and could potentially save your life. Isn't your life worth 5 minutes a month?

The answer to that would be yes.

It's easy to look online to see how to do a self exam. Too lazy tolookk it up? Here - have a link.

I do self exams. And last January I found a lump. Several mammograms, an ultrasound, and a biopsy showed it to be a large fibroid.

Thank God.

I can't tell you how scary that was. So be proactive about your health. And save your tatas.
