Feature Friday - Jitter Bug Bark

Todays featured shop is Jitter Bug Bark. This is one of the very first shops that I "hearted" on Etsy and I just recently found her on deviantART. Tanya (the brilliant tallent behind Jitter Bug), is a stay-at-home-mom and works in both plush and polymer clay. Her creations amaze and astound me. Seriously. I'm jealous of her plush skills!

She makes these fabulous platypi (is that plural for platypus?). They're so freaking cute! And each one is unique and hand sewn.

How can you not want a platypus?

I'm very much in love with her foxes. The detail in their faces (she thread sculpts them) and the expert craftsmanship . . . .*swoons*

She also has adorable polymer clay critters!

I could show you pictures from her shop all day, but I recommend that you visit Jitter Bug Bark for yourself! And don't forget to check out her deviantART page!

Experiments in polymer clay

I've always wanted to work with polymer clay. Well, for the last 5 or 6 at least. So I finally bought some! I bought Sculpey III in their variety pack (mainly just to get a lot of colors to play around with). I've fiddled with it here and there over the past couple of days, trying to get a feel for it. I finnished one sculpture that I thought was worth baking and saving. And of course it's a zombie bunny holding a brain. What? You thought I'd sculpt something else?

Now, the brain isn't detailed at all. And the blood looks a little silly. But hey - it's my first real attempt.

I'll be keeping this one myself. As I get better, I'll offer sculptures in my shop.
And if any of you have any tips or advice, I'm all ears!

Feature Friday: bunny X productions

Well phooey! Sorry I didn't post yesterday (Thursday). I was out of town and never made it to my computer. This weeks featured shop is bunny X productions! (aka societysedso). I've featured one of her pendants before, but decided I needed a whole feature because her stuff is awesome! She's a fan of cephalopods (which I am too!) and I love her octopus tentacle pendants.

Feast your eyes on these!

This one is titled 'November'

'Trick or Treat'
'Tickle'

'Hold your Breath' . . . .some steampunk goodness!
She has so much more gorgeous things, so please be sure to show her shop some love!

My wish list

I wanted to share some of my favorite things on Etsy! I could spend so much money on Etsy it's really quite ridiculous. So here's my wish list. If I had the money, I'd buy everything!

First, this pendant from bunny X productions! (aka societysedso). Beautiful tentacled yummyness!

I want pretty much everything in dismantledfashions, but this dress especially. I'm a big fan of rockabilly!!

I love this shirt from binarywinter! Nautilus wings!

Nate, from Beastlies. He's so freaking cute!!

Okay, I actually just bought Nate. I had to. I need him.

And lastly, this adorable little hedgehog from aleahklay. It's so very precious!

See? I like normal things too. Not just weird, creepy things!
