Prototypes

Since my contest is a vote between a platypus or hedgehog plush zombie, I figured I ought to be able to make them!

My platypus prototype. I named him Phillipe and my son Ayden promptly stole him as his own.

See? Little thief!!

And my hedgehog prototype. I named him Martin Freeman. Yes I did.

Feature Friday - Strawberries and Cream

Today's featured shop is Strawberries and Cream! (aka Minori Design). Theresia (the creative mind behind Minori) truly makes the most adorable little critters!

I mean, look at these adorable hedgehog pin cushions!! Could the squee factor get any higher?

Her giraffe would be perfect in a baby's room. It has such a fun feel to it!

Adorable frog pin cushion!
Strawberries and Cream was recently a featured Etsy seller! Yay! You can read the interview here.
Very cool shop and a very neat lady!

Zombies and Rats, Oh My!

I've been sooooooo productive lately! Which I'm totally impressed with!

That's right - I impress myself. Booya.

A zombie unicorn! With a disemboweled bear on it's horn! Why? Why the hell not!

The little bear comes off. Because that's way more awesome than it not coming off.

This is Ivan the rat. He's obsessed with everything feline. He left yesterday to his new home!!

And Ian the rat. Sporting fabulous ear hair!!!

New Stuff!

I was called off from work yesterday and had the house to myself! Woot! So I got busy sewing!

This is Sultan, my latest soul sucker. He's very vain and a bit cocky.

Suka and her son Neko. Darn stinkin' cute, if I may say!

Vladimir the punk rat. He's sporting a dolphin earring 'cause he's bad ass! And Vlad sold 20 minutes after I listed him! Yay!

New things make me happy . . . .

Saturday, February 27, 2010

Yes. Yes I DID go there.

Go where, you ask? Well, take a look:

Yeah . . . . . that's a carpet-munching beaver. Zombie, of course.

What? What sexual inuendo? I don't know what you're talking about. He's a beaver. He likes munching carpet. And, um, he's a zombie.

Shut up.

See? You've insulted my beaver with your talks of sexual references and generalized naughtiness.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Insulting my beaver . . . .

Matilda

Ahhhhhhh, Matilda. She's a very evil bat. Who wants to eat your face.

She's a new design of mine, and she tried to kill me while I was taking her picture.

Evil.

And you know what else is evil?

That's right. Girl Scout cookies. Because they're delicious. And expensive. And they tempt you where ever you go because those blasted Girl Scouts push them like crack. Freaking crack!

My latest zombie . . .

I thought I'd share some pics of my latest zombie bunny. She's eating a nummy bear cub head! (yes, even though yesterday's post was me loving cute teddy bears).

But come on! She's so cute and proud of her noms!

Om nom nom nom!

Feature Friday - A Little Stranger

Today's featured shop is A Little Stranger. I enjoy unique plushies, and this shop is unique! Her plushies are terribly cute and a little surreal.
I love this little "bear". She is five way jointed and features a hand-cast, hand-painted resin face.
And we definitely can't go wrong with this one! It's a zombie!!

Bunny-slug, anyone?

She also has her artwork available!

Make sure you check out A Little Stranger!

Trick or Treating anyone?

I made a trick or treat bag! Yay! Though it's definitely not a traditional style bag . . . . but since when do I do things traditional or normal?

I present to you my Severed Bunny Head plush trick or treat bag!!

Yes, that's a doll arm and Taco Bell taco sauce in its head. Why? 'Cause it's awesome!

See? The head flap opens up so you can store your goodies! I removed the brain so there's extra storage . . .

You can carry it trick or treating, or to your Halloween party . . .

I love my severed head trick or treat bag!

Feature Friday - Jitter Bug Bark

Todays featured shop is Jitter Bug Bark. This is one of the very first shops that I "hearted" on Etsy and I just recently found her on deviantART. Tanya (the brilliant tallent behind Jitter Bug), is a stay-at-home-mom and works in both plush and polymer clay. Her creations amaze and astound me. Seriously. I'm jealous of her plush skills!

She makes these fabulous platypi (is that plural for platypus?). They're so freaking cute! And each one is unique and hand sewn.

How can you not want a platypus?

I'm very much in love with her foxes. The detail in their faces (she thread sculpts them) and the expert craftsmanship . . . .*swoons*

She also has adorable polymer clay critters!

I could show you pictures from her shop all day, but I recommend that you visit Jitter Bug Bark for yourself! And don't forget to check out her deviantART page!
