ZOMBIE CRAWL!!!

Each year Denver has a zombie crawl close to Halloween. What's a zombie crawl you ask?

Only some of the most awesome fun ever!!!

Basically, a bunch of people get dressed up like zombies and wander the streets of Denver.

And you bet your sweet bippy we went!

I was a zombie hunter, but alas, I got bit. And turned.

This handsome devil is my hubby. His costume was a big hit!

And Ayden, of course, was Spiderman.

Some of the costumes were fantastically elaborate!

There were over 7000 people at the crawl. We'll be making this a yearly tradition.

Feature Friday - Pumpkin Hollow

I can't let Halloween pass without featuring one of my all time favorite shops - Pumpkin Hollow!

Oh MAN the delightful Halloween goodies!!!!

GAAAAAAAAAAA!!! The adorable pumpkins!!!!!

Pumpkin Hollow is a husband and wife team. "Bean" (the misses) makes the cute pumpkins while her hubby, "Rot", makes the more gruesome stuff. The guy pictured above is a collaberation of the two!

Yep! This groundbreaker is by Rot!!!

Stubby is a squirrel. So named for his stubby tail and ears. And Ed . . . . . . well, Ed is his parasitic twin.

I think someone should have a scheduled C-section so that their baby is born at 10:10 on 10-10-10. That would be AWESOME! And silly.

New Artwork :)

Hooray for new artwork!!!

These are 2 concept paintings for my new tattoo. Which, obviously, will be a sparrow and cherry blossoms.

This one is colored pencils and ink.

And this one is watercolors, done in a style similar to a Chinese brush painting.

I actually LOVE them both!!!! I have another idea to try as well, but I'm not sure how I'll choose. Any preferences that you have?

SAVE THE TATAS!!!!!

I think we all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. (And if you don't know this, you need to climb out from under the rock you're apparently living under).

We see all the pink, numerous companies donate a percentage of their sales this month to breast cancer research, and there's the Race for the Cure.

Tons of exposure.

But I think what most women fail to realize, is also the most important.

Self breast exams.

They're so easy to do, take less than 5 minutes a month, and could potentially save your life. Isn't your life worth 5 minutes a month?

The answer to that would be yes.

I do self exams. And last January I found a lump. Several mammograms, an ultrasound, and a biopsy showed it to be a large fibroid.

Thank God.

I can't tell you how scary that was. So be proactive about your health. And save your tatas.
